Whether we are meeting in person in my office in Golden Hill, or via telehealth, a session with me is comfortable, cozy and warm. We will work towards building a strong therapeutic relationship to support the work we are hoping to achieve. I will collaborate to create a treatment plan with you, and we will work towards your goals and objectives in each of our sessions. I will assign homework and recommend getting a therapy notebook where you can take notes, and work on homework outside of sessions.

My role as the couples therapist isn’t to determine who is “right” and who is “wrong", it is to help you both understand each other’s unique perspective and experience and help guide you both to feeling seen, heard and cared for. It is less about the black and white and more about how we find ways to work together.

There is no specific number of sessions for results, it is truly and unique experience and it depends on your goals. Some clients come for short-term therapy to help navigate a single specific stressor in their life, while others continue longer-term to work through patterns that have built up over time.
We will work together as a team to create a pace that feels responsive to your needs and goals and will regularly check in to ensure we are making tangible progress.
